How to Cleanse, Energize and Program Crystal?

Crystals often travel long distances, from source to seller, before a purchase is made. Negative energy or that which does not serve the greater good of the new owner can still be attached to the crystal. The act of cleansing allows the crystal to return to its original energy, clears the negative energies attached, and is then ready for preparation for work with you. Cleansing re-calibrates the stone and makes it clear again. Regularly cleansing and energizing your stones is the only way to restore your crystal to its natural state.

There are a few ways to cleanse your crystals. Remember that if your crystals aren’t a type that can be used in water, use one of the other cleansing methods!

Cleanse – Clearing crystal of any stale energy.

Energizing – Replace used-up energy from the continuous use of a crystal. (Crystals need to be re-energized to work again at full potential)

Step 1:- Cleanse

For water Friendly stones you can cleanse them in running tap water or stream water for 2mins or keep them in a water bowl ( big NO to salt water) for not more than 4-5hours (Cleanse and Energized at the same time)
If a stone is not water friendly you can smudge them with a sage stick or some palo santo. If you don’t have any handy, hold over the flame of a candle or Incense for a quick cleanse.
Bury them underground or garden for 24 hours. This allows the earth to absorb any unwanted energy and refresh the crystals.
Keep on top of dry salt, don’t soak them in a bowl of salt water
Fill a bowl with dry brown rice and bury your stone beneath the grains. Dispose of the rice immediately after the cleansing, as the rice is said to have absorbed the energy you’re trying to eradicate. (use for any stone)

Step 2:- Energized

Energize in the Sunlight once a week, there are some stones that may fade so keep it in daylight and not in direct sunlight
Keep In Full-moon light overnight
You can also use sound vibrations like a singing bowl, tuning forks, or tingsha bells
Use a cleansing crystal. For example, you can lay your crystals on a selenite plate/bowl/tower overnight, as selenite can clear the negative energy of the other crystals. (Cleanse and Energized at the same time)
Use Reiki or other healing energy (Cleanse and Energized at the same time)

BE CAREFUL! Not all crystals can go into water/sunlight/salt. Crystals can damage, fade, break, flake apart & dissolve if not taken proper care of while cleaning or charging the method you use.

Step 3:- Programming

What is programming a crystal?

It’s basically giving it a job or a role or asking it to support you in one way or another. When you program a crystal, it attracts what you want to manifest.

How to program your crystal?

Silently sit and hold your crystals in your hands for a few minutes and take 3 deep breaths.
Hold your crystal to infuse it with your own energy. Warm your chosen stone with your hand—your body heat will send your inner strength and natural magic into the crystal.
Visualize yourself and feel the healing energies of the crystals.
Set your intentions with your crystals and let them know exactly what it is you need them to help you with.
Speak to the stone — silently or verbally — and ask for assistance in working through your current endeavor.
Say a few positive affirmations every day about your desires with all feeling and happiness as if you have already received it
